| 1997 eclipse??? HI i bought a 1997 eclipse rs. Its got 100k on it but its got a brand new tranny and its in mint condition. Its got brand new evo 6 rims and nexxen tires. Its also got a matrix cold air intake and a stainless steel cat back exaust with a 5in tip. Other than getting alot of air in and out of the motor what can i do to give the car a little more go. I'm not trying to race it or anything but i just want to get as much as i can out of it. Like i know nice spark plugs help somewhat. What else can i do except put a turbo on it to help out a bit? This is not one of those questions where im trying to pull off the impossible with a 420a engine because there not the best, i just would like to know if there is anything else i can do like a nice cap and spark plug wires or shutting off the alternator when not in use, exc..... thx alot for the help here is a link with pics of the car.. www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view… |
| i had the same car a few years ago and i found the best thing i put on it for a few more extra horsepower is headers all the other things i put on it really made a slight difference but when i put the headers on i was shocked, at the 3500 - 4500 range you really notice a difference, no lies and the ones i got i bought on ebay for cheap no namers. |
